About RIBS
SDM Research Institute for Biomedical Sciences is an independent teaching and research institute that started in the year 2019 under the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, Dharwad. The institute is intending to conduct research in the advanced and emerging areas of modern science with innovation and initiative for indigenous technology and product development.
2016
SDM Life Science Research Center was established on the 5th floor of specialty hospital building of SDM College of Medical Sciences.
2017
SDMLSRC was dramatically recognized as SDM Biomedical Research Center due to the active involvement of researchers in collaborative research.
2018
The institute established specialized research facilities including pharmaceutical grade clean room.
Academic Programs
The institute offers academic programs, M. Sc. in Biomedical Science on the basis of the Choice Based Credit System and Ph.D. program in Biological Sciences as per the UGC guidelines.
M.Sc. and Ph.D. (Biomedical Science)
Biomedical science is in an amalgamation of biological sciences and medical sciences. The focus of this program is to gain advanced knowledge and skills in the field of Biomedical Sciences, which would create a strong base for research and development for innovative ideas.
Training
SDMRIBS offers an interactive hands-on training program in "Cell Culture and Analysis Techniques" to expose participants to a broad range of essential skills required for cell culture and maintenance.
